Description
What's a Jungle Feast?
It is a night for an up close and personal encounter with wildlife. Hold an alligator, touch a crocodile, handle a large snake, learn about native or endangered snakes, take a selfie with an eagle or other raptors, pet an African Serval, or talk to a monkey. Before dinner take the edible insect challenge and try some Mexican grasshoppers, Southwestern crickets, insect jerky, flavored mealworms, or even brownies made with cricket flour. Challenge your friends to take a bite. Then, gather for a dinner catered by Gourmet Today, followed by an auction of nature experiences.
The Jungle Feast will also include a silent auction which will be available both online and at the event. Share the silent auction information with a friend since you do not have to be present to win. Winners are notified online.
This event raises funds to expand our Education Complex. Currently, we are in the process of moving our parking area (to make space for new buildings), constructing a new maintenance/work area, and building two stormwater ponds. Now with these updates in progress, we are fundraising for the next steps in our expansion which will be the construction of a new museum area, indoor and outdoor classrooms, a community meeting room, additional offices, and more.
